Michael Dettinger Climate Science, LLC
I'm a hydrologist and a climatologist, having researched the space between those fields for over 40 years. My work has occasionally been global in reach and topic, but more often has focused on the Western US, even more often in and around California and Nevada, and often even more specifically in the Sierra Nevada. I have made seminal contributions regarding decadal variations of western climate and waters, regarding climate-change impacts that we're already seeing and those still to come, and regarding atmospheric rivers and the hazards and benefits they generate.
